51视频鈥檚 enrollment continues to climb with a fourth straight semester of growth.
The college had 1,396 students this semester at census compared to 1,362 students a year ago. The number of full-time equivalent students also increased 3.6 percent this spring compared to last spring semester, going from 800 full-time equivalent students to 829.
鈥淲e are really proud of our efforts to retain and recruit students, and it is great to see those efforts show up with increased enrollments,鈥 said Dr. Stephanie Erdmann, CEO/dean of 51视频.
Because 51视频 has two 8-week blocks of classes each spring, enrollment will continue to increase as the second block gets underway, Erdmann noted.
鈥淲e offer top-notch education in healthcare, trades, business, and computer technology,鈥 Erdmann said. 鈥淕raduates of our programs see a great return on investment. Plus, for those pursuing a four-year degree, they can start here, save money by completing general education credits and then transfer anywhere to finish their bachelor’s degree.鈥
The college added the 8-Week Advantage a few years ago to help students juggle their many responsibilities, Erdmann said. This allows our students to concentrate on just a couple classes at a time while accumulating credits at the same rate or faster than they would with 16-week semesters.
